Alvin Primack was awarded a Summer Research Diversity Fellowship

Please join us in congratulating our graduate student, Alvin Primack, for being awarded The Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences Diversity Fellowship during his first year. The project involved field-work related to issues of digital communication technology use in secondary school environments. Alvin interviewed high school administrators about school policies and personal experiences related to student use of digital communication technologies on high school campuses in California. Through this preliminary research, Alvin is now expanding his project to address broader issues of how digital communication technologies contribute to changing the social roles, expectations, and functions secondary school administrators are expected to fulfill, as well as how these technologies have altered some dynamics of the secondary-school workplace.
