Pitt American Marketing Association's 3rd Annual Regional Conference

The American Marketing Association would like to invite any communication students, of all years, to come to the University of Pittsburgh American Marketing Association's 3rd Annual Regional Conference, “Find Your Niche: Building Your Future Piece by Piece” on Saturday, February 11th, 2017 from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. Marketing/Communications is a broad field; because of this, we often hear marketing students say that they have no idea what they want to do when they graduate. As students approach senior year, this fear becomes so prevalent that they focus on getting a job instead of finding their niche. To stop this downward spiral, we want students to find this niche by interacting directly with companies working within the different “pieces” of marketing. We hope that by the end of our conference, the field of marketing is no longer a puzzle to students. Instead, students will find their niche within this puzzle and understand that their talents are pieces of the bigger picture.

In order to achieve these aspirations, our event will be divided into three major sections. First, we will have breakfast from Dunkin Donuts at 9:00AM followed by a panel in which representatives from various companies present themselves. This will run from 9:30 AM-10:45 AM. Next, we will have a networking session that will allow students the opportunity to interact with companies and learn about any internship/job opportunities. We will then have lunch, provided by Jimmy John's. followed by three breakout sessions that will end by 2:35 PM. The closing will last approximately 25 minutes.

The conference will provide the chance for students to network with 20 local Pittsburgh companies and representatives including Thread International, Top Hat Consulting and Gatesman + Dave and many more.

In order to register, students must follow this link and press on the green button that says "Tickets." When this button is pressed, they will be taken to a page that has purchase options. They must make sure to select the Pitt Student option so that they will not be charged!
