Coffee Hour with Gloria Talmantes (GLOE)

"GLOE is a graffiti artist, educator and neighborhood journalist from Chicago. She is an Editor at Back of the Yards Neighborhood Council and her striking murals can been seen on walls throughout the city including in South Loop and Back of the Yards. Gloria's art is inspired by mother nature, urban exploration, vintage Chicano Arte magazines, the graffiti she saw growing up in Little Village, and her rich cultural heritage. Her art includes graffiti lettering, writing, public art, and using art to educate. She is the founder of The Brown Wall Project which explores an challenges how the buff continues material violence against neighborhoods of color.
