Other Voices. Other Walls.: Golden Cage Portfolio Project
February 8, 2021 - 6:30pmPresented in collaboration with Hemispheric Conversations Urban Art Project (HCUAP) at the University of Pittsburgh, this month's program will convene participants in the Golden Cage Portfolio Project, a project curated by Artist Image Resource that uses print activism to explore themes of boutique capitalism, racism, and the need for public voice in Pittsburgh and nationally. Participating artists will discuss their work and experience with the project, and its larger themes as it relates to art and visual culture as a means to challenge intersecting forms of oppression in Pittsburgh, nationally, and globally and build networks of solidarity and care through artmaking.
