Professor Joe Packer Talks about His Co-authored Book, A Feeling of Wrongness: Pessimistic Rhetoric on the Fringes of Popular Culture

Alumni Joe Packer, Professor in the College of Arts and Media at Central Michigan University, recently gave an interview for New Books Network, about his and alumni Ethan Stoneman’s book A Feeling of Wrongness: Pessimistic Rhetoric on the Fringes of Popular Culture (Penn State University Press, 2019).  Listen to it here:

Professor Packer is also author of Alien Life and Human Purpose: A Rhetorical Examination through History (Lexington Books, 2015), based upon his 2012 dissertation (dir. Ronald J. Zboray), and several articles covering an eclectic array of topics including argumentation, gaming, philosophy and rhetoric, and social movements.  These include “The Battle for Galt’s Gulch: Bioshock as Critique of Objectivism. Journal of Gaming and Virtual Worlds (2010) and
