Samuel Allen wins the 2nd Annual Egolf Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching

Sam Allen is the winner of the second annual Egolf Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching. Honoring the memory of longtime faculty member Donald Egolf, the award seeks to recognize excellence in undergraduate teaching as reflected in the development of pedagogy, excellence in teaching, and a commitment to fostering a classroom environment capable of engaging with questions of diversity. Sam’s dedication to his students, his track record of curricular development, and a commitment to fostering classroom discussions about tough—but important—topics all combined to earn him this honor. Sam is in his fourth year in the Department.
